One Off Sessions

How do I book?

Send me an email at:    y.suissa@live.co.uk

or

Text/Whatsapp me on:    07895843633

How much?

£50 for a 1 to 1

£70 for 2 people

£90 for a group of 3

£100 for a group of 4*

*There are only 3 wheels, so with groups of 4, you will rotate doing some hand building while you wait for a free wheel.

How long?

Standard sessions last 1 hour and 30 minutes, but we can arrange a longer session if you'd like.

Where are the classes?

All classes happen at my studio in Wilderness Wood.

The studio is indoors and warm all year round.

Who can attend?

Anyone! I have taught adults of all ages, and children as young as 6 the basics of throwing. If your child is too young to access the wheel (often for height reasons), there is a lot of fun to be had with hand building. I have even accommodated a student who had a 1 year old baby with her. Everyone is welcome and should be able to learn.

Who will teach you?

Me, Yoni. I am a PGCE trained teacher (I used to teach Maths and Philosophy in schools), with over 10 years of teaching experience, and have been throwing for 9 years now.

What will we learn?

In our class, we will learn the basics of how to throw a cylinder. From there, I will show you the subtle differences you can make to it to end up with what you want - mugs, bowls, vases, flower pots.

You can either come to me with something specific in mind that you want to make, or you can just come wanting to learn a new skill, or have a go on the wheel.

Can we keep what we make?

If you would like to keep anything you make, I charge a small fee of £5 per piece to bisque fire it, or £10 to bisque and glaze. If you book onto a course, or multiple classes, you will get to fire a certain number of pieces for free before these fees apply.

When?

I live 2 minutes away from my studio, and so am very flexible when it comes to timings. Mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends - whatever suits you, we can find a date and time that works.
